Ann Stella Fairchild (nee Clarke), passed away peacefully on Monday, August 12, 2024, in Parksville, BC, Canada, with her family members present.
Ann is survived by her loving husband/companion of 66 years, Peter; daughter Leigh (Duane); son Dann (Leanne); grandchildren Nicole (Julien), Myles, Collin, and Chad (Izzy); great-grandchild Harvey; and several nieces and nephews.
Ann was the heart of our home. She loved spending hours gardening and then watching all the birds, family and friends enjoying the beautiful space she created. She loved camping throughout her whole life, travelling, sewing and creating the most beautiful quilts. Ann was known for her kind and caring heart, her amazing sense of humour, the joy she brought to others in life and was always thinking of others first. Ann's life was a testament to the beauty of a life well lived, the many lives she touched and the love she shared. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy will bloom eternally in our hearts.
The family would like to say a heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses, care aids and volunteers at Trillium Hospice for making Mum's journey as comfortable as possible.
Service will held Monday, September 16 at 11:30 am at St Agnes Anglican Church in North Vancouver (530 East 12th St E.) In lieu of flowers, the family suggests tribute donations be made in Ann's name to the ALS Society of BC (www.alsbc.ca).
