Christmas Fair MeetingFollowing the 10:15 service this Sunday On Sunday we will have a brief planning meeting to check in on our preparations for the November 30 Christmas Fair. Plans are well under way! The Lions Gate Hospital Raffle tickets are ready to sell. Judy Brear is working on her famous gift baskets, as you can see from her request for items, below. We will gather in the hall following the 10:15 service. Thanks to Lloyd for preparing an agenda. |
Basket donation requests for the Christmas FairFrom Judy Brear I will pick the items from the church or your home. Just tell me where they are. My email is jlbrear@gmail.com or you can drop them off to me at 3049 Chaucer Ave North Vancouver. My phone number is 604 980 3177 I always need baskets or containers because we do not know beforehand what will fit in what. Always needed New items that you have that might be the beginning of a themed basket. We love the knitted and crocheted dish cloths, coasters etc serviettes (paper or fabric) and new scarves or anything that might line the baskets. Regular themes Gardening items - gloves, clippers, plants, seeds etc. Spa items: Lotions, shampoos, conditioner, soaps, night masks. Chocolate items - anything Chocolate Christmas ornaments, serving plates, decorations. candles. paper serviettes, mini lights. Baking themed items. New cook books with a theme for a basket. Candles, especially non flammable ones. Travel items - baggage tags, sewing kit, neck pillow for plane. Books that are new. Teas individually wrapped. Coffee themed donations - beans, mugs. Wine themed glasses, gift card, coasters, T-towel, cheese items. Warming Items - mittens, socks, scarves, hot chocolate packets, hand warmers etc. Gift cards are wonderful: Last year we had some from London Drugs. $10 each and Indigo $10 each. I purchased a $25 one from a wine store. All very welcome. Mugs are always good. I have bought a few to be filled with little things for teachers, etc. Water bottles to fill with a small gift. Any treasures you have that are unused and would be an idea for a basket. Thanks so much for your donations. Every one makes a difference. Thank you so much for your help. Judy |
