You can find the readings here. No specialized knowledge is required and all are welcome to participate. To get the Zoom information, please send Fr Stephen an email: priest@saintagnes.ca. Summer series on MarkStarts this week Thursday evenings beginning August 8 Discover the Good News in the Bible’s earliest Gospel. Fr Stephen will lead the discussion as we walk through the Bible’s earliest source for the life of Jesus with scholar Amy-Jill Levine as she examines John the Baptizer, the Little Apocalypse, the Transfiguration, and several of Jesus's most notable stories and parables. The Good News of the gospel message comes alive in this book as readers see Jesus as divine and human, powerful and weak, approachable yet mysterious. The book features an in-depth study of select passages and illuminates the Gospel in its historical context and as a source for the other gospels. Thursday evenings from 7-8:30. August 8 at the home of Barbara Sage, 1217 Grand Blvd August 15 at the home of Eric Bozman, 3130 Canfield Crescent August 22 at the home of Marilyn Sharples, 3025 Princess Avenue August 29 at the home of Jean Kyle, 1257 Eastview. |
Christmas Fair planning meeting
It's that time of year when we begin our plans for the annual Christmas Fair. This year, the Fair will be on Saturday, November 30. Experience shows that an early meeting to get things organized is one of the secrets of our success! All who are interested are invited to meet in the Hall this Sunday at about 11:30 am for about 45 minutes.

Annual PicnicWednesday, August 14 at 5 PM at Ray Perrault Park Join us for our informal BYO picnic next Wednesday at Ray Perrault Park, on 13th Street, one block north of the church. The cost of reserving the picnic area this year is far too expensive, so we will send a couple of early birds to stake a claim for us. Please bring your own picnic and a portable camping chair (if you have one). |
Welcome LunchSunday, August 18 We will host a welcome lunch for Mousa's family, who recently arrived from Lebanon. St Agnes has partnered with the KARIBU group to sponsor this family who were refugees but are now permanent residents of Canada. The infomal lunch will take place after the 10:15 AM service. Some preliminary plans have been made and we will take a few moments this Sunday to finalize who is doing what. |
