In our creeds we say things about God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, but as modern people are we actually supposed to take these statements seriously? What does it mean to believe in the Christian faith in the year 2020?

This series will examine how we approach faith and belief within the Anglican tradition. We will explore the Bible, the historical creeds of the church, and our contemporary liturgy to learn more.

Each session will include a presentation by Fr Stephen with lots of opportunity for questions and group discussion. There may be a page or two of optional background reading before each session. You will need to access Zoom on a computer, tablet or smartphone. Access by telephone is possible but may not be the most satisfying in terms of group interaction. Each session will last approximately 1 hour.

The series will be on five consecutive Thursdays from August 6 to September 3.

Option 1: Afternoons starting at 1 pm (with your afternoon coffee or tea)

Option 2: Evenings starting at 7 pm (with your evening glass of wine or other beverage)

A minimum of 6 participants will be required to make it a go for each option. Participation in all five sessions is recommended.

Please register by sending an email to priest@saintagnes.ca indicating Option 1 or 2. You may also call the church number and leave a message: 604 987-0432.

Registration deadline is next Monday, August 3 at noon. Please register today!
